"Jocelyn Green returns to her signature century with a richly researched historical novel that transports you to the tumultuous Civil War era. A River Between us has all the hallmarks of Green's bestselling fiction - history, romance, suspense, faith, and a seamless blending of the American north and south. A moving story of bravery, hope, and love that outlasts the pages."
~Laura Frantz, author of The Rose and the Thistle
"What an absolute gem! A River Between Us brought me on an emotional journey that produced both hope and tears. Truly a beautiful story about loving our enemies and seeing beyond our divisions to the humanity in all of us. A swoon-worthy hero and a strong heroine who surmounts impossible circumstances make this one of Jocelyn Green’s best yet!"

A Note from the Author
In 2017, Barbour published The Message in a Bottle Romance Collection, which included my novella, "A River Between Us." Since then, that collection has gone out of print, so I jumped at the chance to get the rights back to the story and give it the word count the story always deserved. More than twice the original novella's length, this novel gives space to the full journey of hope and finding home again when home seems lost forever.
