See you in Georgia!

Mon, 2014-06-02 11:49 -- Jocelyn Green

If you're within driving distance of Marietta, Georgia, please mark your calendar: On Sunday, June 22, I'll be speaking at the Marietta Museum of History at 2pm. I'll share the inspiration behind the main characters of Yankee in Atlanta, plus describe home front life in Atlanta between 1863-1865. Round out what you've gleaned from Gone with the Wind with different angles on war-time Atlanta. (By the way, Marietta Museum of History does have a Gone with the Wind Museum! :) ) Books will be available for purchase, or if you already have your copy, bring it, and I'll sign it! See you there! For more information about the Heroines Behind the Lines series, visit www.heroinesbehindthelines.com.

I wish I could come that way again after having lived in an Atlanta suburb while my husband was stationed at Fort MacPherson Georgia which is in East Point. There are such great memories for me there as it was my first home after marriage and the birthplace of my twins who will be 40 next year. I am praying about coming to "Breathe" but am waiting on God to refine my missionfield. I would love to meet you after reading all three of your books now. And since we have Taylor in common I know you would be an instant member of our family. God bless you and your family and enjoy Atlanta. You are in my prayers as you write the kind of books I love and since I am a Civil War buff, it couldn't get any better. Any chance you will be pursuing the Western Campaign in the future? j

Hi Cheryl, Yes, please do pray about coming to Breathe, I would love to meet you! As for the Western Campaign: it's possible! There are so many possibilities for what I may want to write next, and what I may want to write a little later. Right now I'm swimming in ideas. :)
