Today is a really busy day. I'll spare you my to-do list, but I'll say that blogging wasn't on it, until now. I don't think this request should wait: I am seeking a team of folks who will pray for me and my co-author Kimberly Drew as we work on our devotional book for parents of special needs children. I fully expect that both of us, and perhaps our families, will encounter challenges as Satan tries to distract us from this project. In fact, I do believe it's been happening already. (That was fast, I know.) We would covet your prayers for:
- our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health
- the health of our families
- the health of our computers (Mine died today!)
- continued health of our marriages
- harmony and wholeness in our relationships
- focus and joy
- stellar time management skills
If you would like to pray more specifically for us until our October 1 deadline, just leave a comment and I'll put you on the list to receive brief, periodic prayer team updates, including praises. Here's a praise I can share right now. Even though my computer died, most of my files are safe. I bought a new laptop last week (which I'm using right now) and we copied over almost all the files already. The only thing I'm concerned about now is recovering my Outlook email files. And, I used Google Docs to create our organizational spreadsheet for the book, so that is still safe, thank you Jesus! It has a lot of really important contact information in it. Thank you so much for praying! Oh--and if you leave a comment below saying you'd like to be on the email list, keep in mind that I won't be able to email you until I get my little Outlook problem fixed. It could be a while, but I trust it will get worked out. :) And then this laptop will be my portable work station. Now if only I can get this cat trained to not jump on the keyboard every time I start typing.
